- - As stated on the last line of text, the document was written (tahrir namud) by Muhibb 'Ali on 12 Jumadah I, 1220 (August 8, 1805) The request for assistance may have been written by a Persian soldier to a military commander. The Turkic name of the hero, Mirza Qilich, hints that the document may be related to clashes on the Ottoman Turkish-Persian border during the first decade of the 19th century, or perhaps in Afghanistan or Central Asia during the same period.

- - This document (sanad) is in the shape of a letter (namah) written in black nasta'liq script and outlined in cloud bands on a gold background. The letter is addressed from a ruler to a certain Mirza Yadigar, from whom he requests military assistance. As a result, the ruler sends a reputable fighter named Mirza Qilich (Qilich, meaning "sword" in Turkish) to the ruler. Known as the "Rustam of his Day" (Rustam-i Zaman) due to his fighting prowess, Mirza Qilich provides military assistance in order the vanquish the ruler's adversaries.
